Every format below runs in the Live Mixer on one phone: the app builds the courts, times the rounds and keeps score as you tap winners. What changes between them is how partners rotate, how courts are ranked, and whether the night is heading somewhere.
You can switch format mid-session. If the room isn't feeling Gauntlet, drop into Popcorn between rounds from the settings drawer without starting over. The one exception is Mini-tournament: because it's built on fixed teams from the first game, you can switch out of it but not into it.
Popcorn
New partner every roundFresh random partners and opponents every round. Over a few rounds you play with nearly everyone in the room.
Best for: casual groups at similar skill levels, and any first night.
Freeplay
You pick the teamsCourts fill randomly, then you hand-pick and adjust. No rules are enforced, so it bends to whatever the room needs.
Best for: mixed-level social play where the organiser wants control.
Scramble
Stay on your court, play everyoneFixed court groupings with new random teams each game in the block. A court of four plays three games; a court of five plays five.
Best for: groups that hate downtime, and nights with limited courts.
Gauntlet
Adaptive seeding: play at your levelRound one seeds by skill. Every round after re-seeds by live win percentage, so the better you do the tougher the matchups get. The leaderboard is on because the format needs it.
Best for: competitive clubs with a spread of skill levels.
Claim the Throne
Court 1 is the Throne. Climb to the top.Courts are ranked from the Throne down. Winners climb, losers drop, and partners split every round so a solo player can climb alone. Points are weighted by court, so a win on the Throne counts for more.
Best for: competitive groups who want dramatic movement all night.
Mini-tournamentClub Plus
Pools, a bracket, a championFixed teams play pool games, the top teams go into a knockout, and the night ends with a crowned champion. Knocked-out teams keep playing friendlies so nobody goes home early.
Best for: a competition night with five to twelve teams that wants a real winner.
Which one for tonight

Gauntlet. A competitive room that wants drama? Claim the Throne. A night that needs a champion? Mini-tournament.
